They too have a heart and a body to be taken care of. Let’s start with dog food. Stay away from over feeding. If you start feeding your dog too much at an early age then there are chances of him falling ill or suffering from a deficient health. One should know the right quantities of food with which the dog is to be fed. An adult dog needs to be served not more than twice a day. Small puppies need adequate food quantity in order to grow up big and strong. Serve them smaller meals at lesser intervals of time. Gradually reduce the serves as they grow up no matter how much they dance around you for food. Focus on nutritious diets for your dogs as they also need vitamins and minerals to grow healthy and remain active. Specially fed the young puppies with a meal enriched with proteins and vitamins. This will enable their muscle growth. Dogs love non vegetarian food but if you cannot fed hem with meat you can also make your dog turn into a vegetarian. Fill their meals with highly recommended nutritious food and see the difference. There is loads of dog food available in the stores, get one for your dog. But if you don’t rely on conventional food and want to feed him with home made food then go ahead. Just talk to a good vet and include the recommended nutrients and proteins in your dog’s meals. Make sure that you don’t serve him red hot or ice cold food. Also, provide him with neat and clean water just as you provide your family with. Next comes cleaning or bathing. Certainly, dogs don’t love water as they love to lazy around. But no matter what you have to make him wash in any case. So, pull up your socks as bathing your dog is not an easy task. To start with choose a mild shampoo which does not dry his skin. Avoid frequently washing your dog as that can lead to excessive drying, removal of essential oils and skin infections. Bath him not more than two times a week or wash his paws instead if he gets dirty often. Damp him with a soft towel and don’t let water enter his eyes or ears. No one likes a lazy dog so force him into some exercise. Take him out for a walk daily and play with him on the way. No animal likes playing with his master as dogs do. But keep in mind your dog’s size and then plan the amount of exercise you inflict upon him. |
